Hi, I’m Gillian!

Gillian Smith, owner and speech therapist at Say Play Therapy in Pittsfield, MA

I am a pediatric speech therapist with over 8 years of experience supporting children with complex communication needs. Throughout my career, I’ve worked in various pediatric settings, including public and private schools, and have developed advanced expertise in AAC evaluation, funding, and implementation.

I started Say Play Therapy to provide high-quality, evidence-based therapy for children in Berkshire County, extending support beyond the school setting. In addition to my private practice, I consult with local school districts, helping teams feel confident using AAC in classrooms.

My approach combines individualized therapy with parent collaboration, ensuring that caregivers are integral members of the team. I believe in building trust with my clients, following each child’s lead, and creating engaging, meaningful therapy sessions that help them thrive!
